Bothriechis aurifer – field notes from Coban

Bothriechis aurifer

Known locally Rax K’aj (green lightning) is listed as vulnerable with a declining population. We searched high (up to 1950m above sea level) and low for this snake and only found one individual that was caught by a local Quecchi man.
